depression, Fibromyalgia/CFS, Life

I just turned on CNN as I do late at night to see yet another policeman has been killed in America. It is out of control. We here in Australia are lucky, it’s not happening here, but there’s always that risk every time an officer starts their shift.
It got me thinking about the way our world is heading.
The group in America, Black lives matter…… I agree, they do, but ALL lives matter. When are we going to remember this and do something about it?

There are so many good people in this world trying to make a difference. I know we see all the ‘public’ faces. The actors, musicians, entrepreneurs they not only put their names and faces to a cause, but they put their money where their mouths are and make a difference. They are conscious of the weight they bring to a cause, there are good people, doing good things.
There are those who you’ve probably never heard of that work tirelessly raising money and awareness to assist returned service men and women around the world. These people have risked their lives do we can live ours, yet for many, many years their ongoing struggles were not acknowledged. Thank goodness we now recognise their sacrifices and treat them as we should. They are heroes of mighty proportions.
Then there are the people, regular folk like you and me…..they give up their time, volunteer in shelters, feeding the homeless, raise money for the needy in our communities……these are heroes too.

Yet there is so much unspeakable greed in the world and make no mistake it is greed that drives everything. So many conflicts are fought in the name of religion, however if you look at it, it’s really about overtaking land, which equates to greed.

There will always be the haves and the have nots……it’s how the haves behave that will determine how the have nots live.
We are all born equal, we all have a chance to make a difference in the world. Whether we are black, white, male, female, gay, straight, indigenous, native, housewife or CEO……….we ALL matter.
You don’t need to be rich to make a difference in somebody’s life, you just need to care . So the next time you shake your head at something you see or hear that just seems so wrong, ask yourself, can I make a difference?

I'd love to hear from you, any feedback will be most appreciated.
